Home Child Care Provider

Job Duties:

• Provide attentive, in-home care for children in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

• Change diapers and assist with toileting and personal hygiene as needed.

• Sterilize bottles and prepare infant formulas.

• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment, including light housekeeping related to the children's care.

• Keep records of children's daily activities, routines, and health information as required.

• Prepare infants and children for naps and rest periods.

• Escort children to and from school, appointments, and other scheduled activities.

• Support the children's emotional well-being, social development, and positive behaviour.

• Ensure the children's health, safety, and well-being at all times.

Employment Requirements (Credentials):

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.

• 7 months  to less than 1 year of experience caring for children 

• Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Criminal record check may be required.

• Reliable, responsible, patient, and organized with a genuine interest in caring for children.
