Job Duties:

*Assess prescriptions for completeness

*Assist in managing patient files by entering their information and prescription details in databases

*Perform medication review and care plan assessment

*Dispense and prepare medication under the pharmacist’s supervision

*Help pharmacists and other pharmacy staff with preparing, packaging, blister packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products

*Assist in maintaining inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products

*Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams

*May process medical billing information

*May price and stock items on shelves.

Education Requirements: Completion of secondary school and several months of job training, or completion of up to two years of a Pharmacy Technical Assistance vocational program
